DADEVILLE, Ala. - Wooden power pole manufacturer and distributor Dadeville Pole Co. has purchased 23 acres in rural Alabama to build a new manufacturing plant.
Dadeville is a subsidiary of Alabama-based Ziebach & Webb Timber Co., which will invest $5 million in the project. The new plant will add 12 direct and indirect jobs, while boosting up local wood suppliers and loggers, the company says.
Dadeville Pole general manager Mark Byal said he knew the location was good after meeting with local officials.
“You can tell that the economic development office surrounds themselves with a great team, they were able to pull all the players to the table, the County Engineer’s office, the Commissioners, Alabama Power, the City of Dadeville, no matter what our questions were, the EDA team was able to find an answer for us,” Byal said.
Construction will begin later this month and should be completed by the end of the year.
